Upright EASY3D STED

abberior has developed an upright version of its INFINITY microscope with EASY3D STED. As for the inverted INFINTY, a variety of upright microscope brands and models are available for our upright platform.

Expo STED

abberior developed an Expo STED demonstrator for teaching and illustration purposes. This microscope closely models our INFINITY Line in appearance and simulates various STED experiments in the software. In contrast to our real microscopes, its optics cover is made of transparent glass in order to allow an unrestricted view of the optical arrangement of the microscope, including the beam path, which is lined out with hazard-free laser sources. A touch pad allows controlling the parameters for superresolution STED nanoscopy, i.e. individual laser powers, type of sample etc.

One of our Expo STED demonstrators was on display at the Nobel Laureate exhibition in Göttingen from December 11th, 2016 till May 28, 2017. The exhibition highlighted Stefan Hell’s story of winning the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Anisotropy imaging

abberior has developed a fully motorized upgrade for polarization anisotropy measurements with our INFINITY Line. It is entirely compatible with all STED imaging modes. To this end, every beam path – excitation, STED, as well as the detection beam path – is equipped with motorized polarization optics. Full software integration and a dedicated calibration procedure ensure that the user can select arbitrary polarization conditions for each beam of her INFINITY STED microscope.
