Here, you can add the finishing touches to your instrument, those small things that you don’t want to miss.
useful bits and pieces
Many eyes see more than one. The MATRIX detector drastically improves signal-to-background ratio, resolution, and dynamic range.
Brings down the light dose on your sample and lables dramatically. Key ingredient for volume and live-cell superresolution.
Transmitted light is imaged without time loss, simultaneously to your confocal and STED recordings. Compatible with all lasers, including your pulsed 595nm as well the 775nm pulsed STED.
An important, yet often overlooked component that can make or break good imaging. At abberior, we take test images with all third-party objective lenses before we install them in your microscope and only the best objective lenses are handpicked for our STED and MINFLUX systems.
And since our EASY3D unit is compatible with all types of high-NA objectives, we offer the widest range of lenses for STED of all manufacturers. Oil immersion, water, silicon or glycerol, dipping lenses, and even air immersion – let your sample dictate the objective lens, not your microscope.
Indispensable for environmental control during live-cell imaging, we offer stage-top incubation chambers as well as cage incubators. All major vendors are compatible with our microscopes.
While we’re talking about live-cell imaging, did we mention that our autofocus works without interruptions even in STED mode?
The RESOLFT device offered by abberior is a superresolution point scanning system for switchable GFPs. It features the lowest principal light dosages of all superresolution methods and is greatly suited for live-cell imaging.
for your microscope
The control panel is compatible with every abberior microscope and is operated via USB connection. It features six user configurable dials and four user configurable push buttons for setting acquisition parameters, e.g. x and y position, focus, laser intensity, etc. It comes fully integrated into our software and greatly simplifies the image acquisition workflow.

“Why do we usually recommend APDs in our microscopes and why aren’t we worried about the supposedly lower dynamic range?”
